Syltede rødløg med rødløg fra egen køkkenhave i Ballerup

Det er i den grad syltesæson i min lille lejlighed. Forleden syltede jeg rødbeder fra min have i Ballerup og nu er der også syltet rødløg.

Syltede rødløg er et fantastisk tilbehør til sandwich, brugere og salater eller som surt en lune frikadeller og en helsteg kylling.

At sylte rødløg endnu nemmere end at sylte rødbeder, fordi løgene ikke skal forarbejdes anden end at skæres i skriver og man kan lave dem et par timer før de skal bruges, akkurat som agurkesalat.

 

Ingredienser

4 rødløg
4 dl rørsukker
5 hvide peberkorn
1 laurbærblad

 

Fremgangsmåde

Skær løgene i halve og derefter i skriver på langs. Man kan også bare skære dem i skiver, men jeg kan bedst lide på den anden måde.

Skold rene sylteglas, evt tilsat lidt atamon, fyld de glassene op med de skivede løg.

Giv eddike, sukker og krydderierne et opkog og hæld lagen over løgene. Luk glassene mens de er varme.

Opbevar de syltede rødløg mørkt og køligt.
